The art program at Liberty Middle School reflects a West Orange tradition of excellence in the Fine Arts. It offers a rich and varied discipline- based curriculum in alignment with the New Jersey department Education Core proficiencies in the fine arts. The department continually reviews the curriculum.
Students create art work understanding it within the context of art history, society and criticism/critique. All projects provide for a creative response by every student encouraging critical and creative art making within a differentiated approach.
