AVID is a national program designed for students that are determined to succeed, even if the student has had difficulties in the past. AVID offers new strategies for improvement across all subject areas. AVID students are expected to advance into high honors and/or honors level courses with a plan to take AP courses by senior year, in areas of strength. All AVID students are required to take an AVID elective and participate in program activities. Parents of AVID students will be required to attend several AVID functions/workshops as well.
