We are proud to announce that the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools received re-accreditation for West Orange High School on December 1, 2008! West Orange High School received glowing reports and accolades regarding our school as a whole. In particular, “diversity” was noted as West Orange High School’s greatest asset which is truly celebrated. Reports indicated that West Orange High School possesses a “strong sense of optimism, pride and purpose” in dialogue with all stakeholders. The accreditation team felt West Orange High School maintains a professional focus to “develop all students to their highest potential”. As part of an on-going initiative towards school improvement, West Orange High School created and accomplished objectives and action plans, which were implemented over the past five years, resulting in an increase in student achievement, creating a more positive school climate, and greater participation in extra-curricular activities.
In a continued effort to further excel over the next seven years, West Orange High School will focus upon increased student achievement in Mathematics, beautifying the school’s campus and buildings, performing community service, recycling, and a property damage control.
